We not only welcome you to come alongside of us, your involvement is crucial to accomplish the three main objectives of our ministry - encouraging church growth, building partnerships, and supporting discipleship. These goals are achieved by creating unity among local congregations and showcasing area churches in a “non-church” environment.
Here are some of the many ways that you can contribute to our mission:
Sponsor Your Own Tent Event
By sponsoring a JSM event, your church takes the lead in providing the space for the tent, assistance with its setup and take down, and provides the message on at least one of the evenings. With the unique resources that we can provide, teaming with James Seay Ministries is an excellent way to advance your church’s outreach efforts and your presence in the community.
Co-sponsor a Tent Ministry
In the old days, when tent ministries were setup on the frontier, pastors who ministered to far-flung communities in the wilderness would come to the tent to teach the Word of God to the unchurched. Likewise, churches and pastors are needed today to come alongside our ministry to teach and minister during the time the tent is in the mission field. We welcome you to join with our local church partners in order to connect new disciples to their local faith community.
Volunteer to Setup or Takedown
It requires many hours of effort for the outreach of JSM to take place. The tent itself needs to be cleaned and it requires a team of up to 12 people to raise it. Power, lights, the stage, and seating need to be brought in. The sound system needs to be installed. Of course, after the event the tent and all its contents need to be taken down and stored. Bring your willingness to serve (and a little muscle) and be a part of making a positive change in people’s lives.
Bring Your Worship Team
During the events, worship teams are needed to supply the music. For the most part, JSM provides all of the sound reinforcement and staging, and musicians need only bring their instruments. We are seeking musical teams from all ethnic backgrounds and musical genres that worship in the Spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24) to bring the Holy Spirit into the hearts of our attendees.
Pray With Us
Your prayers are vital to bring about real, lasting change in individual lives and in our city, and for the building of Christian community (James 5:13-16). In your time with the Lord, please remember to pray for our communities and for God’s will to be done as we wait for His return.
